ENERGY
Recognizing the potential impact of a manufacturing facility on the environment, our plants are actively engaged in energy efficiency with active conservation measures:
In an effort to reduce air consumption across our manufacturing plants, we replaced all our air-driven conveyors with mechanical conveyors, cutting energy demand significantly.
Replacing Liquefied Petroleum Gas systems with natural gas systems was one of the steps taken towards reducing costs and maximizing energy efficiency.
Energy saving lighting is now used across all production halls. This is not only good for the reduction of electricity but also improves the overall workplace environment.
WATER
Water is a precious and luxurious resource in many parts of the world, especially in the Gulf region.
Al Jomaih Cans and Ends Making Plants implements strict water conservation programs. We are committed to optimize water management by continuously investing in water monitoring equipment and installing new water metering. With top of the range filtering and cleaning processes, our plants have been able to recover up to 60% of used water in 2013.
WASTE
Our waste management strategies are rigorously implemented within our facilities in an effort to minimize the impacts of our production on the environment.
At Al Jomaih Cans and Ends Making Plants, we make sure all our waste is either reused or recycled. Our continuous journey on metal coil down gauging process has allowed us to reduce the amount of steel and aluminum waste while making sure the generated waste is fully recycled and reused by industrial clients.
Our water management strategy not only ensures the treatment of our water in our own treatment systems before being discharged, but also reclaims washer discharge for plants’ irrigation and other industrial purposes, optimizing water use within the community as well.
Our continuous efforts to meet the highest levels of environmental sustainability bring us closer to the community we operate in. Higher product quality and a better sustainable environment are common goals that we share with our customers and strive to meet on a daily basis at every level of our supply chain.
